I would like to bring to your attention the new visas rules as been announced today by the director of Dubai Immigration as follows,
· The tourism companies will be allowed to issue a tourist visas only which will be applicable to all nationalities valid for 30 days renewable for another 30 days
· The fees of tourist visa is AED 210 no normal visas type only urgent and it will be issued in the same day subject to security approval.
· Visit visas not any more allowed for tourism companies till further notice.
· There will be a quota for each company and bank guarantee is required, more details will be informed at the time we get more information.
· 29th of July 2008 is the first day of starting the new rules.
Please be informed accordingly and advice the concerned agencies.

Dubai Immigration Department has announced New Visa Rules effective from 29th of July 2008.

Please find below the highlights of new rules applicable for Tourist Visa:

New Visa Tariff and Process for Tourist Visa

· The charge for the New Tourist Visa is US$70/- per visa (it was US$50/- earlier).
· There is only one type of visa now called tourist visa ( ‘normal’ and ‘urgent’ visas have been discontinued).
· Issuance of visa would take 2 to 3 working days (unless otherwise held -up or rejected by the Immigration Department).
· Children under 18 years should be accompanied by parents.
· The Visa Requests should be received latest by 1800hrs local time.
· Fridays and Saturdays is a week-end for Immigration and thus non working days.

We will update you on other aspects, as we receive more clarity from the Immigration department. For any clarifications, please do not hesitate to reach our visa department at .....

2) There is only one type of visa now called tourist visa ( No more 'normal' and 'urgent' visas have been discontinued).
3) Issuance of visa would take Minimum 2 to 3 working days (unless otherwise held -up ( Documents required )or rejected by the Immigration Department).
4) Children under 18 years should be accompanied by parents.
5) Visa Charges Not Refund at all, Once applied the visa

The existing Visit Visa Quota will be mapped to Short Term Visit Visa from 29th July 2008 12:00 AM,
Approach DNRD for requesting Quota for Long Term Visit Visa.
Kindly note that the new entry permits rules will be effective from 29th July 2008
All companies who has tourist visas quota are requested to visit DNRD to apply the new quota ,
otherwise they will be allocated 75 visas only effective from 7th August 2008.

Dear Partners

We wish to inform you that new immigration rules implemented from today 29 July 2008 onwards and till further notice with the following rules:

- The immigration changed the type of Tourist Visa to be only type i.e. NORMAL VISA. No more URGENT VISAS and all visas
will be applied as normal.

- This type of visa i.e. Normal Visa takes 2 - 5 workings days as of 29 July 2008 onwards.

- The new rates of this visa will be increased by US$ 20/- on the existing rates which was charged before as of any new
visa applied by 29 July 2008 onwards. If you used to pay US$ 50/- now you have to pay US$ 70/-.

- This type of visa is valid for 60 days from date of issue till date of entry to UAE i.e. visa issued on 05 August 2008 the guest
has 60 days from 05 August 2008 to enter UAE.

- For this type of visa the guest is allowed to stay 30 days only in UAE from date of entry. After 30 days stay the fine will be
calculated as follows:

- For the 01st day fine will be Dhs 200
- From the 02nd day onwards the fine will be Dhs. 100 per day and this amount is not refundable under any
circumstances.

- This type of visa will be given to all nationalities who requires visa to enter the UAE i.e. all 33 nationalities who used to require visas to enter the UAE will remain unchanged.

By issuing this email all visas will be issued on 01 August 2008 onwards will be charged according to the new rates regardless when the request was sent.
